Artist's Comments

This is my first successful metals project. It's made of mostly fine silver, with a copper bearing ring on the inside that you can't see. The amber is cabochon-cut (that I didn't do, I bought it... XD) and bezel-set. I love how the band turned out but let me tell you, it was HAAAAARD to solder! All in all, I'm really proud of this ring. Sorry some of the pictures aren't awesome, maybe I'll fix it later?

Why is it a USB ring, in particular...?
:iconthemadphotographer:
i want to be a blacksmith - that anvil in sculpture looks preeeetty redonculous. PS THE RING MADE ME PEE ON MYSELF. :+FAV: omggg only because ANYONE [even ivy] can photo better than you

I wanted to drill or saw out a small, simple pattern on that back platform so that the stone would show through, to make the back more interesting, and when I was looking around I happened to see the USB symbol on my laptop ^^ If I was better at metals I could have made the square and triangle, too, but I had to settle for circles.. I think it's an interesting, elegant symbol.. the amber shows through the lines when you hold it up to the light too! :D
